My process depends on the type of project, timeline, and resources I am working with. Sometimes, a creative team needs to be more involved from the initial research all the way through the final drafting. Other clients may need to see fully rendered ideas from the very beginning.
For me, the creative process is the most essential part of my work, and different sets of skills are applied accordingly.
It can begin with initial research, storytelling, point of view, inspiration collages, and mood boards, moving into drawings and 3D models—either digital or physical 1/4" or 1/2" scale models—followed by technical drawings, design boards, then budgeting, and project management.
It is also about bringing together the right people with the right skill sets and creating the conditions for them to work to their full potential within the right timelines.
Ultimately, this is the full process I work through, from the initial idea to the final result.
